It is the mission of Washington
County Psychotherapy Associates, P.A. to improve the quality of
life of the individuals it serves by providing to those
individuals the highest quality of mental health, substance abuse
and related services. The provision of these services are based
on an adequate level of personnel and financial resources to
implement quality programming and the following principles:

with dignity and respect in all situations

in the least restrictive setting possible,
3.) to be assisted in
maintaining continuity in their relationships and lives,
4.) to be fully involved and
informed in the process of receiving these services,

maintaining their individual rights of choice and confidentially,
6.) to be assisted in ways
that recognize and optimize their individual assets and strengths.
All age groups may be served depending upon the goals of each
individual program.
All services are provided to
individuals without respect to race, gender, creed or religion.
Wherever appropriate, special considerations are given to the
cultural backgrounds of ethnic groups. In general WCPA, PA
provides services to residents of Washington, Hancock, Penobscot
and Piscataquis Counties.
In the case where an individual
receiving services has multiple needs or diagnoses, every effort
is made to address all issues within the treatment plan through
consultation with involved professionals. When appropriate
services cannot be provided within WCPA, PA or through
coordination with community professionals, referrals are made to
the nearest appropriate resources.

annually in May by the Board of Directors to ensure that it is an
accurate statement of the association's purpose and that the plan
of operation agrees with the mission statement.
